Community Service Program (KKN) is a community service program. This program is part of the mandatory curriculum for students. There are several types of KKN that differ based on objectives, location, and the type of activities carried out. Iinternational
KKN (Community Service Program) International in Thailand is a program that sends Indonesian students to carry out community service in Thailand. This community service program involves students from various universities in Indonesia to participate in community development activities in Thailand. This program aims to broaden students' global horizons, increasing cultural adaptability, as well as strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Thailand. During the program, students work with local communities in Thailand on various projects, like education, health, and economic empowerment. This activity not only enriches students' academic and social experiences, but also strengthen diplomacy between countries through cooperation and cultural exchange.
National Collaborative KKN on Religious Moderation
National Collaborative KKN on Religious Moderation held by the Ministry of Religion is a community service program that combines students from various Islamic religious universities (PTKIN)to promote religious moderation in Indonesia. This program aims to develop an attitude of tolerance, mutual respect, and harmony between religious communities through activities with the community. The students involved work together with various local communities to hold interfaith dialogue, education about religious moderation, as well as social activities that strengthen social cohesion and unity in society. This program is part of the Ministry of Religion's efforts to support the vision of a peaceful and harmonious Indonesia through education and community service.

Sunan Ampel Commonwealth KKN is a collaborative community service program between PTKIN which was once a Commonwealth of UIN (formerly IAIN) Sunan Ampel Surabaya. This program integrates students from various faculties to work with the community in developing local potential and improving social welfare. Students involved in the Sunan Ampel Commonwealth KKN focus on economic empowerment, education, and public health through various collaborative projects. The main aim of this program is to build community independence and strengthen the values of togetherness and solidarity. This activity is also part of the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education, namely education, study, and dedication to the community.
Nationality
National Community Service Program, or National Real Work Lecture, is a community service program involving students from various universities in Indonesia. This program aims to grow a sense of nationalism, love of country, and strengthening nationalist values among students. Besides that, National Community Service Program focuses on learning with the community and empowering local communities. In National KKN, students are placed in various regions, especially in areas that require development and empowerment. They work with the community to identify problems, design solutions, and implementing programs that benefit society. This activity is an implementation of the tri dharma of higher education, which includes education, study, and dedication to the community. National KKN is often held in areas with certain characteristics and potential. For example, National Community Service Program 2024 held in Maluku Province, which is famous for its rich spices and natural beauty. This program is divided into several areas, like Maluku City, Buru Regency, and West Seram Regency, with a theme “Strengthening National Values in Realizing Independent Villages in the Archipelago Region.” The main objective of the National Community Service Program is to build independent villages, improve people's quality of life, and developing local potential. Students involved in National Community Service are expected to be able to apply the knowledge they have learned in college, while enriching their experience and knowledge through direct interaction with the community.
Community
Community KKN is a type of KKN that targets students who gather in a particular organizational forum. As a learning activity, it will provide direct experience for students to work together with the village community where the KKN is implemented to develop various village development and empowerment programs.
Inclusion
This KKN is a KKN specifically for participants with certain obstacles to still being able to carry out their obligations as students in carrying out the Tri Dharma of higher education. Inclusive KKN will involve KKN participants by living in their place of residence.. This choice of domicile of origin is not without reason, As the name suggests, this KKN Inclusion KKN expects attendance, involvement of KKN participants to actively participate in community activities.
Mental Revolution
Mental Revolution KKN is a community service program carried out by students. In the year of 2019, KKN-RM is focused on internalizing the three main values of mental revolution: mutual cooperation, integrity, and work ethic. Besides that, through this thematic KKN, Students also play a role in increasing access to more optimal public services by synergizing with village officials. Mental Revolution Thematic KKN activities are able to develop civic engagement students and society, as well as overcoming internal and external obstacles in development civic engagement. There are nine PTKN taking part in the program There are nine PTKN taking part in the Mental Revolution KKN program, that is: UIN Raden Intan Lampung, UIN Mataram, IAIN Purwokerto, IAIN Tulungagung (Now UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung), IAIN Samarinda, STAIN Sorong, Tarutung State Institute of Christian Religion, Protestant Christian College (STAKPN) Ambon and the State Hindu Dharma Institute (IHDN) Denpasar.
Brantas Complete
The Brantas Tuntas KKN program is a collaboration between the East Java Provincial Government and 16 PTN in East Java to protect the Brantas River ecosystem in 2019. This activity aims to resolve the problem of environmental pollution in the Brantas River, especially the problem of disposing of baby diaper waste.
