Tulungagung, 06 April 2026 — LP2M Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung State Islamic University held activities Development and Signing of Research Contracts Based on Output Cost Standards (SBK) BOPTN Year 2026 as an effort to strengthen the quality of research by lecturers and students. This activity was attended by researchers who passed the research funding selection and became a strategic momentum in increasing academic capacity and research contributions to society.
In his speech, Committee Chair, Prof. Dr. Badruzzaman Century, M.Ag., submitted a report that the number of researchers involved reached 144 lecturer and 93 student. The details of the funded research scheme include:: Capacity Building as much as 40 title, Basic Research Study Program 26 title, Interdisciplinary Basic Research 26 title, as well as International Collaborative Research as much as 1 title. This shows the high enthusiasm of the academic community in developing research based on academic and social needs.
Meanwhile, Chancellor of the State Islamic University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Aziz, in his direction emphasized that research should not stop at mere administrative formalities, but it must have a real impact. Of the total 168 proposed title, only 93 titles that have successfully passed funding, taking into consideration the appropriateness of the theme and stretching point which is carried.
The Chancellor also emphasized the importance of aligning research with strategic issues such as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Asta Protas program. Besides that, Each research is expected to produce output in the form of scientific articles that not only have an impact on the individual researcher, but also improve institutional reputation.
Furthermore, he highlighted opportunities for developing strategic issues such as religreen which has the potential to become a campus academic manuscript, as well as the importance of collaborating with Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), especially in the Tulungagung area. In the context of national policy, The Chancellor also said that the implementation of Work From Home (WFH) dan Work From Anywhere (WFA) on campus are still waiting for official direction from the central government.
At the end of his speech, The Chancellor reminded all lecturers to always actively follow applicable research regulations, comply with established technical guidelines and guidelines, and be grateful for the funding opportunities obtained by carrying out research optimally.
Through this activity, LP2M hopes that all researchers will be able to produce quality scientific work, innovative, and have a broad impact, both for the development of science and for the progress of society and institutions.
