BRASS – UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung participated in Real Work Lecture activities (KKN) Fourth Religious Moderation in Indonesia 2024 which took place in Kuningan Regency. Five students were sent to take part in this KKN, namely Mohammad Amirudin, How about Nur Izzati, Diana Kurnia Dewi, Neha Hasna Maknuna, and Achmad Subakti. Together with 300 students from 58 religious state universities, who will take part in the religious moderation KKN in Cigugur District.
The opening ceremony was held on the terrace of the Kuningan Regency Pendopo on Tuesday, 16 July 2024. Acting Regent of Kuningan, Dr. Drs. H. Raden Iip Hidajat, M.Pd., immediately welcomed the event. This event was also attended by the Director of Education and Education, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Zainul Hamdi, M.Ag., Acting Regional Assistant for West Java Province, Dr. Dr. H. Dodo Suhendar, M.M., Regional Secretary of Kuningan Regency, Dr. H. Dian Rachmat Yanuar, M.Si., Head of Cigugur District, as well as chancellors and representatives of chancellors participating in religious moderation KKN throughout Indonesia.
Carrying the theme "Harmony with Religious People,"The village and sub-district that is the location for the fourth Religious Moderation KKN in Indonesia in Kuningan Regency is Cisantana Sub-District, Cigugur Village, Sukamulya Village, Babakan Mulya Village, Cileuleuy village, and Cipari Village.
Chief executive of the religious moderation KKN, Chancellor of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Prof. Dr. H. Anwar's proposal, M.Ag., explained that the selection of Kuningan Regency, especially Cigugur District, as a location for KKN is due to the extraordinary pluralism in the region.
“Cigugur is famous for its strong pluralism, a lot of confidence (religion) what the people there believe, but they live in harmony without disputes. Later the KKN children will learn how the people of Cigugur practice the principles of tolerance in their daily lives which can be applied in other regions in Indonesia. Cigugur is also a place where many academics conduct research, especially in religious tolerance,said Rosihon Anwar.
In his speech, Acting Regent of Kuningan, Raden Iip Hidajat, stated that Cigugur District, especially in the Cigugur Village area, This is an area that reflects very high societal tolerance. Many describe Cigugur as a miniature of Indonesia and a miniature of pluralism in Indonesia.
“Cigugur is located at the foot of Mount Ciremai, with all its diversity, consisting of various ethnicities and ethnic groups as well as a diversity of beliefs and beliefs that form a harmonious symphony of life. This is an example of the real implementation of Pancasila," said Iip.
Iip hopes, The implementation of this religious moderation KKN can run smoothly and provide a positive impact which not only applies to the research locus but also in other regions in Indonesia.
Formally, The fourth KKN on religious moderation in Indonesia was opened by the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, represented by the Director of Higher Education, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Zainul Hamdi, M.Ag., with symbolic embedding of KKN participants. KKN participants will participate in religious moderation service for approximately 40 day.
