Goods, Trenggalek – KKN Mental Revolution in Barang Village 2 held a second work program with the theme of the Independent Indonesia Movement. Namely, by developing entrepreneurship based on local potential through community empowerment and online marketing learning. The activity was held Thursday, 08 August 2019 which is at the Village Hall.
The background of this work program is to utilize the local potential that exists in Barang Village so that the community can improve economic standards by developing an entrepreneurial spirit and implementing online marketing..
RM Barang Village KKN students invited resource person Saikhul Khafi who is the chairman of Tulungagung UMKM. The event we held was attended by PKK mothers from Barang Village. Apart from that, the village officials were attended by Mrs. Sutarmi , Wife of the Village Head and Mrs Kartini Wife of Mr Carik.
Before the event starts, Invited guests check in and hand over food and stationery. This event was hosted by the KKN RM RM participants in Barang village which started at 10 p.m 13.00 WIB. The event began with remarks from Mrs. Sutarmi and Mrs. Kartini. Then the moderator also provides an introduction related to the material that will be presented by the resource person.
The series of events were closely linked to the enthusiasm of the audience, creating new understanding regarding the use of natural resources and collaboration using online markets. Speaker Khafi explained that "you don't have to be a civil servant if you want to be successful, Becoming an entrepreneur is possible because it can open up employment opportunities.".
IAIN Tulungagung KKN students provide an innovation that utilizes local potential in Barang village in the form of face masks made from Cocoa and Coffee. When delivering material about masks, RM KKN students also distributed mask testers to invited guests.
The resource person explained that cocoa has a high selling value when sold in product form. Because usually the residents of this Barang village sell cocoa only in raw form. So the selling price is relatively low. Meanwhile, coffee beans are usually used only as a brew, apart from being distributed in the form of raw beans. This activity ended with a group prayer led by one of the RM KKN participants.
