Tulungagung, (14/10/19). Center for Gender and Child Studies (PSGA) Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M), schedule a Gender Profile and Preparation Workshop PPRG (Gender Responsive Planning and Budgeting).
This activity involved two resource persons from outside IAIN Tulungagung, as Dr. Rohimah from UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, and Dr. Erfaniah Zuhriah, S.Ag., M.H. from UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
In this activity, participants represented each workforce unit of IAIN Tulungagung starting from the Rectorate officials, The total number of institutions and faculties is approx 50 more people. This workshop involved many agencies aimed at improving gender-based education personnel policies.
In his speech, Chancellor of IAIN Tulungagung, Prof. Dr. H. Maftukhin, M.Ag. Convey, It is mandatory for IAIN Tulungagung to have a gender-based policy, Not only that, policies must be able to reach all parties.
“PSGA on our campus now, even though it is called Gender and Child Studies, but most of the movements and every activity is still based on gender only, has not touched on policies regarding children's issues,he added.
In every activity at PSGA IAIN Tulungagung, participant attendance is an important issue in implementing gender-based equality, one of the columns is to select the gender listed in the attendance column. Matters like this are closely related to the PPRG which will be programmed by PSGA-LP2M IAIN Tulungagung.
“PPRG is also a form of implementation of performance-based budgeting where budget management uses gender analysis on input, output and outcomes in planning and budgeting as well as integrating aspects of justice (equity) as a performance indicator, after economic considerations, efficiency and effectiveness”, Erfaniah Zuhriah said.
Erfaniah Zuhriah conveyed, I have attended PSGA activities twice at IAIN Tulungagung and every time I fill in the absences a column for gender voting rights is always provided.. Here I feel happy that PSGA IAIN Tulungagung has implemented the concept of gender equality.
“Implementation of Gender Mainstreaming (PUG) reflected in the process of formulating gender responsive planning and budgeting policies (PPRG). PPRG is not an end goal but rather a framework or analytical tool for realizing justice in receiving development benefits,” he added.
“Gender Responsive Budgeting (ARG) significantly strengthen a more equitable performance-based budgeting framework” he said.
