SURABAYA – Thirty student at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung with students from 15 public universities (PTN) others in East Java are attending lectures Real Work (KKN) Brantas Complete. The KKN was carried out in collaboration with East Java Provincial Government.

Starting the KKN activities, Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa with the chancellor and representatives 16 The PTN released it completely 250 students at the Grahadi Building on Thursday (26/12/2019).

In his speech Khofifah said that this activity was part of the East Java Government's joint efforts 16 PTN in East Java in order to maintain river ecosystems. The reason is that there are still many people who are not aware of the importance of rivers for survival. It is known that the Berantas River is the main destination for the community in disposing of waste, especially baby diaper waste.

This KKN release activity was also filled with prayers hummed by several students, it is enhanced with compensation for orphans which was given directly by the Governor of East Java. Chair of the Community Research and Development Institute (LP2M) IAIN Tulungagung, Ngainun Na'im was present at the release event said after the event, that students expect from this activity can participate in resolving problems on the riverbanks Brantas. With the implementation of KKN, it is hoped that the Brantas River will be visible clean, healthy and there will be lots of habitat that will continue to develop well, no there are fish floating dead in the river.

“This is one of our opportunities to take a concrete role in maintaining environmental sustainability. So I hope that IAIN students Tulungagung is serious about participating in these activities." Ngainun said Na'im is one of the most productive writers at IAIN Tulungagung.

Meanwhile, Unair KKN coordinator Eko Supeno said that in East Java there is 21 PTN and those who have joined 16 PTN. This program is answers from universities to Brantas problems. The two goals are that students are ready to become part of educating communities living along regional rivers Safe from upstream to downstream.
