Bumirejo – Quran Education Park or commonly called TPQ is a non-formal institution or a place where children learn to read, write and memorize the Quran or even about Islamic learning.
Community Service Program (KKN) have taking place, various activities have been carried out and supported by the community welcomed the arrival of KKN students to become a whip for KKN students to be more enthusiastic in carrying out service.
This is also felt by students KKN in Bumirejo Village, Kesamben District, Blitar. Where in one village it is divided be 2 working group or commonly referred to as 2 post. First post is in Sukorejo hamlet and the second post is in Bumirejo hamlet. Each group get 2 areas that need to be explored.
Various activities have been carried out, especially at the Bumirejo post 1 namely teaching TPQ in Sukorejo hamlet and also Bangunrejo hamlet. Each hamlet has a TPQ which provides knowledge about the Islamic religion to children. Bumirejo KKN post students 1 carry 3 TPQ at once, every afternoon learning is carried out. The three TPQs are TPQ Al-Hidayah which is located in Sukorejo Kidul, TPQ Hidayatul Mubtadi'ien in Sukorejo hamlet, and TPQ Sirojul Munir in Bangunrejo hamlet.
This activity has received support from teachers who support TPQ and also received extraordinary enthusiasm from the children. "The children even became more enthusiastic about going to recite the Koran when they found out who was teaching them Big Brother from KKN IAIN Tulungagung," said one TPQ teacher in Bangunrejo. The enthusiasm and support provided by the surrounding community adds to the enthusiasm for KKN students to serve the community. (Publications Division, Bumirejo Command Post 1)
