Ternate, 29 July 2024 – Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) participate in Real Work Lecture activities (KKN) Collaboration on Religious Moderation at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Ternate, North Maluku. Activities involving students from various State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) This event was attended by participants from UIN SATU Tulungagung, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, UIN Malang, UIN Makassar, and IAIN Kediri.
Providing KKN with a theme “Diversity Harmony: Strengthening Social Life, Culture, and Economy in North Maluku” took place in the IAIN Ternate auditorium and was officially opened by the Chancellor of IAIN Ternate, Prof. Dr. Radjiman Ismail, M.Pd, on Monday (29/7/2024). In his speech, Prof. Dr. Radjiman Ismail emphasized that the purpose of this briefing is to provide understanding to students so they can carry out activities in accordance with the targets set by the committee..
“While at the KKN location, It is hoped that students will not only carry out activities according to the committee's directions, but also learn directly with the community,” he said. Former Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) IAIN Ternate hopes that students can quickly adapt to the conditions at the KKN location and invite the community to collaborate in making this activity a success.
“The people in North Maluku have various languages and cultures, So students must be smart in adapting so as not to experience obstacles during KKN activities,” he added.
Chairman of LP2M IAIN Ternate, Dr. Muhammad Zein, M.Pd, explained that the implementation of the year KKN 2024 This will be done in three regions, namely Ternate City, North Halmahera Regency, and East Halmahera Regency. “Departure of participants to the KKN location will be held on Wednesday, 31 July 2024,” he explained.
Chairman of LP2M UIN SATU Tulungagung, Prof. Ngainun Naim also appealed to prioritize the importance of participant safety aspects during KKN activities. “The supervisor's responsibility is not only to accompany and pick up KKN participants, but health factors are also the most important thing that continues to receive attention,” he stressed.
UIN SATU Tulungagung also sent two students to take part in this activity, namely Muhammad Firdaus Wahyudi from the Da'wah Management Study Program and Abdur Rohman from the History of Islamic Civilization Study Program. The KKN training lasted for two days, namely Monday to Tuesday (29-30 July 2024). On Wednesday (31/7) morning, KKN participants will depart for North Halmahera and East Halmahera Regencies via the Bastiong Ternate Ferry Ferry Port. Students placed in Ternate City will be accompanied directly by their supervisor. Specifically for KKN, collaboration with other PTKIN campuses will be focused on East Halmahera.
