SAMARINDA – There are five IAIN Tulungagung students who passed the selection to take part in real work courses (KKN) Archipelago in East Kalimantan. They will carry out KKN with students from eight State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) former branch of IAIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Namely, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, IAIN Jember, IAIN Madurai, IAIN Samarinda, IAIN Ponorogo, IAIN Kediri, UIN Mataram.

This is the second KKN Nusantara after previously taking place in Lombok, NTB.

The five students involved in KKN are A'yunin Nadzifah from the PAI department, Elda 'Urwatul Wustqo from Tadris Biology, Maryatul Kibtiyah from the Sharia Economics department, Nada Afifah Silmi from PBA, and Ulya Icha Putri Nihayah from TBI.

They are spread across various villages in the province. Like in Muara Badak Ulu Village, Tanjung Limau Village, Natural Gas Village and Tanah Datar Village, Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. There are also those placed in Sarijaya Village, Sanga-Sanga District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency.

Chairman of the LP2M Community Service Center IAIN Tulungagung Dr. Muhammad Muntahibun Nafis, M.Ag said five students were taken to IAIN Samarinda to receive training on Monday-Tuesday (8-9/7/2019). After that on Wednesday, 10 July 2019 Students are released to go to the KKN location.

''They were there for two days of training by the LP2M UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya team. Then, released by the chancellor and leaders of nine campuses,he said.

Meanwhile, in his speech, the Chancellor of IAIN Samarinda, Dr. H. Mukhamad Ilyasin, M.Pd said that the provision of KKN participants is part of the institution's responsibility to prepare students before they enter society..

"The training will be a source of knowledge for students to have good planning and the right self-confidence before entering society,he said.

The Chancellor hopes that students can take part in activities thoroughly so that they have additional competencies and thorough preparation.

It is known that Real Work Lectures (KKN) and Participatory Work Lectures (CTF) Archipelago year 2019 followed by 845 Student. Then, divided into 70 group. After that, placed in various locations in the Samarinda area, Kutai Kartanegara to Balikpapan. (aam)
