Monday 06 October 2025, LP2M UIN SATU Tulungagung attended the FGD invitation to prepare for Commonwealth Collaborative KKN 2026 which will be held in Ponorogo. This FGD activity was carried out at the Amaris Hotel Ponorogo starting 06 October s.d 08 October 2025. Present at this activity were the heads of LP2M, Head of Community Service Center and Head of Research Center from each PTKIN Ex Sunan Ampel campus. Commonwealth KKN is an annual routine agenda organized by PTKIN Ex Sunan Ampel Surabaya 9 PTKIN. In this activity, the chairman of LP2M UIN SATU Tulungagung was one of the main speakers.
For the implementation of the Commonwealth KKN year 2026, State Islamic University (UIN) Kiai Ageng Muhammad Besari Ponorogo emphasized his readiness to host the implementation of the Nusantara KKN 2026, a national agenda held in partnership with universities under the Sunan Ampel Consortium network.
The Commonwealth's collaborative KKN program has been seen as a strategic means of connecting the academic world with social reality. Through this cross-campus service activity, Students do not only apply the knowledge gained in the lecture hall, but also learn to understand the dynamics of society directly. Further, KKN Nusantara is an effective vehicle for instilling the values of tolerance, togetherness, and universal humanity.
As a host, UIN Ponorogo began taking various thorough preparatory steps. Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) be at the forefront in designing the technical stages, starting from the preparation of technical implementation guidelines, to the socialization process with PTKIN partners. This Preparatory FGD also includes activity themes, devotion method, and everything to make the implementation of the Commonwealth Community Service Program a success 2026.
Besides that, LPPM UIN Ponorogo is also collaborating with local governments and partner institutions to ensure that the implementation of KKN is effective and has a real impact.. A participatory approach is key in the planning stage, so that each student work program is truly rooted in local needs and potential. Through this synergy, It is hoped that KKN Nusantara will not stop at annual ceremonial activities, rather it produces social innovation and sustainable societal transformation.
However, Hosting the Nusantara KKN is certainly not without challenges. Cross-institutional synchronization, logistical readiness, and preparing programs that are nationally relevant but sensitive to the local context is a big job that must be faced together. Nevertheless, The spirit of collaboration and determination to strengthen service based on moderate Islamic values are the main assets for UIN Ponorogo to make this big agenda a success..
Through the momentum of KKN Nusantara 2026, It is hoped that it can strengthen the role of LPPM as a center for socio-religious transformation that bridges the academic world with the realities of society. More than just a service program, This KKN is expected to become a social laboratory where students learn to become agents of change with moderate insight, inclusive, and solutions to the challenges of the times.
