In social division activities, culture and religion have made work programs wrong the only TPQ teaching activity in Semen Hamlet is located at the Baiturrohman Jengglong mosque. BTQ Baiturrohman was founded February of the year 2011 and is still followed by only a few students. Now BTQ has less more 40 students who are very enthusiastic about learning. For this TPQ activity held every Monday to Thursday at 15.00 until 17.00 WIB. This activity is an activity that teaches children to read and write hijaiyah letters. When the students are fluent in read Arabic writing, Then we will continue with Al-Quran learning.
TPQ Baiturrohman has a very important role in shaping children's character from an early age so that it becomes a foundation for the child so that the child can distinguish which one is which what to follow and what to avoid. The existence of TPQ is very important to create a Quranic Islamic church. In general, it has an impact positive in continuing the Islamic generation, especially in learning the Al-Quran in carrying out the teaching and learning process reading and writing the Koran for children to improve understanding of values faith and devotion.
As time goes by, the method of learning to read and write the Al-Quran also develops at each TPQ, using different methods. But have the same goal, namely to make it easier to learn to read and write the Koran. The Al-Quran reading and writing learning method applied at TPQ Baiturrohman uses the iqro method’ for the beginning in reading the Qur'an, apart from learning about the iqro method, TPQ Baiturrahman also teaches other Islamic religious knowledge such as learning the call to prayer, read short letters, read other prayers. After reciting the Iqro' TPQ, Baiturrohman performed the afternoon prayer together with the TPQ students.. After that, we continued reciting the Koran for students who were already fluent in reading Arabic. TPQ Baiturrohman does not only accept children aged students, but also held a BTQ for the elderly in the evening. This BTQ is held for the elderly who have not read the Al-Quran fluently and have not received BTQ learning in their childhood. This is one of the factors why BTQ Baiturrohman emphasizes learning to read and write the Koran from an early age. (farida, Fifi, Rifa – Semen 2)
