WEEK – It has been five days since we IAIN Tulungagung students implemented one of the three principles of higher education. Namely, service or what is usually called KKN (Community Service Program). One of the locations for KKN is in Kembangan Village, Pule District.

The opening of the KKN in the village was held at the Kembangan Village Head's Office on Tuesday (23/07/2019) which was attended by the Head of Kembangan Sukimin Village and his staff, BPD, Youth organization, as well as Village Religious Leaders. Starting from o'clock 10.00 WIB until 12:00 p.m 11.30 WIB.

This event was hosted by Sister Selvia Rukhi Erisa, starting with singing the song Indonesia Raya. Then, reading of the holy verses of the Koran.

Kembangan Village Coordinator, Brother Rizal Kurniawan, said that KKN is one of the mandatory courses that must be taken by all students as a realization of the Tridarma of Higher Education, namely service..

Field Supervisor (DPL) Kembangan Village Syamsul Umam entrusted it 28 students to carry out real work courses and be directly involved in society.

“This is because society is a dynamic and appropriate social laboratory for student learning,” he said.

The Head of Kembangan Village, Mr. Sukimin, expressed his deepest gratitude for the assistance that would be provided by the students.

“We, together with the community, open our arms as wide as possible and are ready to take part in the activities that will be offered by students,” he said.

The end of the event procession was the pinning of hats to IAIN Tulungagung students by the Head of Kembangan Sukimin Village as a symbolic form and ended with a group photo.. (*)
