Bangsari, Hang out – Regular Multisectoral KKN Students 2020 IAIN Tulungagung which is in Bangsri Village, District. Nglegok Kab. Blitar. He has participated in a series of activities in Banjarjo Hamlet, Bangsri Village. One of them is posyandu activities (integrated family planning-health service post), 21 January 2020 This time the Posyandu is intended for the elderly.

Posyandu for the elderly is a health service facility located in villages aimed at improving the health of the community, especially elderly residents. The aim of this posyandu for the elderly is to increase the awareness of the elderly to develop their own activities and increase the ability and role of the community in understanding and dealing with the health problems of the elderly optimally.. In this activity there were several obstacles faced by implementers in holding posyandu activities for the elderly, These obstacles include a lack of knowledge and understanding about the benefits of posyandu for the elderly.

In general, elderly people experience these problems because they do not understand the benefits of posyandu and lack self-confidence due to the problems or illnesses they experience.. Because they assume that everyone who attends the elderly posyandu is old and has a sick soul. For these reasons, many elderly people end up not participating in these activities because they are embarrassed. This activity aims to shape and empower the elderly about the importance of health for them.

This activity was attended by several elderly people from different characters and backgrounds, starting from the age and gender of the elderly person. This posyandu begins with the process of weighing the elderly, which is continued with the process of checking blood pressure and ends with providing vitamins and nutrition to the elderly.. This activity is usually carried out once a month in the middle of the month. Not only that, other activities are also provided by the village government and Bangsri village health, in the form of gymnastics activities with the elderly to form healthy and resilient elderly.

From the experience gained by IAIN Tulungagung students, most elderly people who have attended posyandu tend to find it easier to participate and mingle with other elderly people.. They tell stories and feel happy when they are with other people, especially the elderly at their level.

If you look at the differences between the elderly who take part in posyandu for the elderly and the elderly who do not take part in the posyandu for the elderly, they are very different. Those who have taken part in the posyandu tend to be open and look happy and have a lot of knowledge about the elderly.. Compared to elderly people who do not attend posyandu, they tend to be closed and do not want to consult or talk about their body condition and health.

From this activity, we as IAIN Tulungagung students hope that in the future the elderly in Banjarjo hamlet will be more open and aware of health and the benefits of posyandu for the elderly body.. (Bangsri Publication and Communication Division 1)
