Plumbangan (Sunday, 2 February 2020) – The economic division of KKN Group II IAIN Tulungagung Plumbangan Village has implemented a superior work program on Sunday (2/2) at Teratai PAUD 01 Plumbangan. The flagship program of the economic division is Barek's signature "Passion Fruit Syrup Making Workshop" guided by brother Diky Ahmad Widianto.
This workshop has the theme 'Improving the Economy of the Barek Hamlet Community through Training in Making Passion Fruit Syrup'. The workshop location is at PAUD Teratai 01 Plumbangan for the reason that every first week, PKK women regularly hold gatherings at that place.
The workshop on making passion fruit syrup was attended by the Village Head, Kamituwo's mother, and other PKK Dusun Barek members. In this event, KKN friends provided insight into the importance of human resources in the economic progress of Barek Hamlet.
By looking at the large number of people in Barek Hamlet who have passion fruit plants in every house. This is the reason for us to provide innovation in the form of syrup labeled SEMAR, which is an acronym for "Fresh Passion Fruit Delicious Syrup", Explained by KKN Students.
The labeling is expected to make passion fruit syrup have a high selling value. In workshops, KKN friends gave an example of how to make passion fruit syrup to PKK women and continued with making drinks with syrup to introduce the taste of syrup to PKK Hamlet Barek women, he added.
