TULUNGAGUNG – The Covid-19 pandemic has not dampened IAIN Tulungagung's steps to hold community service in the form of real work lectures (KKN). As a breakthrough, This campus is holding Virtual KKN from Home (VDR). A number 4.053 The students have been officially released by Tulungagung Regent Maryoto Browo, Wednesday 27 January 2021.
In his speech, Regent Maryoto said that KKN activities are expected to provide benefits to the community in Tulungagung. At least, The community will gain knowledge from the service process carried out by students and assistance by lecturers.
''Hopefully this KKN will run smoothly. Continue to maintain strict health protocols,'' he said, in a live broadcast via YouTube.
Regent Maryoto continued, IAIN Tulungagung has made a contribution to Tulungagung, namely by publishing a book about Bumdesa in Tulungagung. This book, he said, will bring benefits to the district government internally and have a broad impact on the village-owned enterprises.
"Hopefully the presence of this book, which will be read by the wider community, will have a positive impact on village-owned enterprises in Tulungagung,he said.
The Chancellor of IAIN Tulungagung, Prof. Maftukhin, said that in pandemic conditions like this, the village is the main focus. According to him, Villages are the economic strength of the people when the economic conditions are hit by this pandemic.
''So, we must continue to strengthen the village,he said.
This professor of philosophy continued, The village has taught everyone many lessons about life. Especially, There is also a lot of potential in the village. Be it natural potential or cultural potential.
Meanwhile, Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) IAIN Tulungagung, Ngainun Naim said that the KKN concept had already been implemented 2020, Because the pandemic conditions have not subsided, the KKN VDR concept has been carried out again 2021.
“In principle, we want to continue to serve society,'' he said,
The KKN VDR concept is designed with four types of KKN models, namely, Rural KKN, Religious Moderation, Anthology of Books and Teaching from Home. Each of the four KKN concepts will be a product of students and lecturers. Both virtual activities and scientific works in the form of books.
''We also encourage students to take part in promoting Bumdes in the village. They can also get involved in religious moderation campaigns on social media,he stressed.
Naim continued, In this KKN it is hoped that writing about profiles will be produced 4.000 village kiai or inspirational figure in the village. Reason, Students are encouraged to write profiles of village ulama who have rarely been touched upon. Whereas, The role of the village kiai or ulama is extraordinary in spreading the reconciling spirit of Islam. (*)
