VDR KKN activities-038 in Lorejo village, Bakung Blitar District, was officially closed briefly and simply on Friday, 26 February 2021. Attended virtually by DPL Mrs. Desyana and directly representatives from the VDR KKN Team 038 with several village officials along with Mr Budiono as Lorejo village secretary. That day also coincided with the distribution of basic necessities and the handing over of plaques indicating the waterfall called Sendang Kamulyan.

The Sendang Kamulyan waterfall makes an impression in itself. Initially, the work program for procuring waterfall plaques was not in the VDR KKN group 038. However, At that time, the village gave input so that it was not the same as the previous KKN program. We were confused at first, there is a proposal for a used cooking oil and rose flower program, However, implementation is not easy and takes a long time.

Then while we mapped the condition of the village, we discovered that there is untapped potential in this village, namely a waterfall. This waterfall is located and requires access which has not yet been built. From here we coordinate with DPL. Sadly, because during the pandemic and the activity of opening waterfall access requires a lot of people and has the potential for crowds, DPL does not approve it. Then we were given the suggestion that we could make a plaque and then hand it over to the village. We explored and surveyed the hidden waterfall.

Sendang Kamulyan is a waterfall with unique characteristic shapes. The uniqueness lies in the perfectly curved shape of the waterfall wall. With the height the fountain reaches 250 meter, Sendang Kamulyan Waterfall which not many people know about except the people of Lorejo itself. Sendang Kamulyan Water is the most beautiful waterfall we have just discovered in Blitar.

Besides being beautiful, waterfall is located approx 1,5 km from Lorejo Village Hall, or the location is Lorejo Village, Bakung Blitar District, Sendang Kamulyan Waterfall is one of the best natural tourist locations that has not been touched by people outside Lorejo village. This waterfall is intended for those who like adventure. The reason is to get to the location of the waterfall, along the two closest paths approx 100 meters, the road conditions are uphill and the second route passes through residents' plantations as far away as possible 500 meters via footpath. The location is still natural and the water is clear, making Sendang Kamulyan one of the most beautiful waterfalls I encountered in Blitar.

Sendang Kamulyan Waterfall in Lorejo village, Blitar can be likened to a secret treasure that holds extraordinary natural beauty. This is not just a pearl term, because the location of this waterfall is far from the crowds and to reach it you have to penetrate forests and plantations and conquer terrain that is quite draining.

However, if you succeed in devouring all the challenges and obstacles, All the tiredness and boredom in your mind will disappear instantly when you see how amazing the view of this waterfall in Lorejo is.

It takes extra effort to see its beauty

As we have mentioned above, This waterfall is really hidden, is on a road that is muddy and slippery when exposed to rain and is hidden behind the green forest and vast rice fields. You'll need a little extra effort to conquer the trail.

Understandably because this natural tourist attraction is really hidden, There isn't even a parking area or toilet. If we want to go there, we have to park at a local resident's house, At least you need 15-30 minutes to get to the waterfall, but first you have to go through a path that is still accessible and familiar with ups and downs, up a dirt and rocky road, then you can reach the location.

But after you see it with your own eyes, all the tiredness and aches in your mind and body will all disappear and be replaced with a feeling of incredible awe at seeing the beauty of Sendang Kamulyan Waterfall. And if you come at the right time, You can see the reflection of rainbow light paired with the beauty of Sendang Kamulyan Waterfall.

One thing to be grateful for about Sendang Kamulyan Waterfall is that its nature is still very beautiful and well maintained., This can be seen from the many green trees that cover the area around the waterfall.

Plus the water feels cold and fresh, if you wash your face with this running water, it will definitely be very refreshing. The surrounding views also add to the impression of nature which is pleasant to look at. And because of its location at the foot of the mountain, the air and air felt very cold. If you need a place to refresh, then we highly recommend this place for you to visit.

Prepare Your Stamina

As we explained above, The location of this waterfall is really hidden behind the forest with road access that goes up and down and is full of challenges. So, Before coming here you should practice to increase your stamina so you don't get tired quickly.

Use comfortable footwear

Next, use comfortable footwear for traveling through the terrain to the waterfall. It would be best if you use trekking shoes or hiking shoes and make sure they have quick-drying material, because you will also be walking through muddy terrain (when exposed to rain).

Bring Your Own Supplies

This is quite important for you to pay attention to if you don't want to get hungry or thirsty in the middle of the trip, remembering that the food stalls here are only in residential areas far from the waterfall, and from the parking area to the waterfall location is quite far. So, it would be convenient if you bring your own snacks and bottled drinks.

But remember! If you bring your own supplies, make sure not to leave any rubbish in this area. Because nature is still very well preserved, of course if there is litter scattered around, will make things worse and damage the natural ecosystem here.

Bring a Change of Clothes

If you want to get wet and splash in a waterfall, You don't need to worry if you bring a change of clothes.

Make sure the cellphone battery / Your camera is full

This point may be the most important for millennials or for those who like collecting photos, Of course it will be very annoying if you have traveled long distances, through challenging terrain, up and down valleys and rice fields, but when you arrive at the Sendang Kamulyan Waterfall location and want to take photos, Your battery is dead and needs to be charged.

Considering its location in a forest area, Of course you won't find a charge station. So the best solution is to make sure all your electronic equipment is fully charged, or bring spare batteries for your camera.
