
Jember, 8 July 2024 – State Islamic University (UIN) Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with various Research and Community Service Institutes (LP2M) the commonwealth (Ex Sunan Ampel). This step was taken to strengthen collaboration in the fields of research and international service.
Apart from signing the MOU, This event was also filled with sessions sharing the Real Work Lecture model (KKN) international work involving each work unit. Dr. Muhammad Muntahibun Nafis, M.Ag., Head of the LP2M Service Center UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, convey the various types of KKN that have been implemented. These types of KKN include Community, Building a Sustainable Village, Mental Revolution, Inclusion, and so on. This initiative aims to broaden horizons and improve the quality of KKN, so that they can make a more significant contribution to society.

As a follow-up to the meeting that was held previously in Malang, The participants agreed to develop a joint scheme for international service. This scheme is expected to strengthen relations and collaboration between universities at the international level.
Furthermore, as part of this follow-up, It is planned to hold a conference in Jember next November. This conference will be an opportunity to present the results of collaboration and formulate future strategic steps.
In an effort to realize structured international service, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang was appointed as commander in chief who will oversee the technical instructions for joint international service. Meanwhile, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya will act as commander in making technical instructions for a joint international publication scheme.
With this collaboration, It is hoped that stronger synergy can be created between LP2Ms throughout the Commonwealth in carrying out quality service and research programs that have a broad impact.
