Bondowoso, 8 July 2024 – UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung also participated in the Real Work Lecture Release event (KKN) Sunan Ampel Commonwealth 2024 which was organized by the Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember State Islamic University in Bondowoso Regency. This Commonwealth KKN is centered in several villages in Bondowoso and is attended by approx 96 students from nine State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN).
Universities involved in this KKN include UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, IAIN Ponorogo, IAIN Kediri, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember, IAIN Madurai, UIN Mataram, and UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda.
UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung sent five students to contribute to the KKN program. The five students are Camelia Marlita F., Shabrina Aden, Lutfi Shoinin Najah, Rofi Suliyana, and Arlisa Thufailah Zuhro.
The Commonwealth KKN release ceremony was held at the Bondowoso Regent's Hall on Tuesday, 9 July 2024, by the Acting Regional Secretary (Pj Secretary) Haeriah Yuliati. In his speech, Haeriah asked all KKN participants to make a real contribution to the Bondowoso Regency Government by socializing three important points, namely stunting, extreme poverty, and early marriage. This was conveyed considering that the number of these three problems was still quite high in Bondowoso.
“With this KKN, it is hoped that it can help overcome problems that exist in society, including poverty, stunting, and early marriage,” said Haeriah Yuliati.
Haeriah also emphasized that KKN must be able to contribute ideas for the success of development implementation, especially in Bondowoso Regency. Besides that, through this KKN, All students and female students are expected to be able to mingle with society, so that the goals expected by the university can be achieved optimally.
“Students must enrich themselves with various knowledge and improve their quality so that they can contribute ideas to successful development,” he concluded.
With active participation in this KKN, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung shows their commitment to serving the community and responding to social challenges in Bondowoso.
