Jati, Essay – Tuesday, 20 August 2024 UIN KKN participant Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung in Jati Karangan Village Trenggalek scheduled a digital quiz competition. This competition was motivated by the views of KKN participants regarding the lack of digital literacy of local residents. As a new innovation, KKN participants are trying to provide digital literacy education to local residents, especially children, by holding competitions.
KKN participants through the divisions that oversee them try to open collaborations with several related parties to provide education to the younger generation in particular through the "Brain Battle Competition" activity.. This activity has a basic concept like the Quiz Competition (LCC), However, the competition is to utilize digital tools and systems.
This activity involved several representatives of educational institutions in Jati Village, namely SDN 1 Jati, SDN 2 Jati, and MI Miftahul Huda. Each agency sends a delegation of selected students consisting of: 4 team with 3 students on each team. Questions cover mathematics subjects, English, natural and social knowledge, Indonesian, and religious knowledge. The competition participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in this activity which was proven by the determination of each team to compete to win the championship until the final round.
This activity does not only test students' knowledge, but also train cooperation, sportsmanship, critical thinking, and increase their experience in healthy competition. By using the application or web Quizizz which is based on educational games, It is hoped that it can increase students' learning motivation and train their sensitivity to use technology appropriately and creatively. With this activity, it is hoped that it will be able to educate the younger generation in digital literacy.
At the end of the Head of SDN event 2 Jati Sardiyanto said, “This activity is very good for the progress of the younger generation in the future, "We, the educators, would like to thank the KKN students who have held this activity.".
