PSGAD UIN ONE DEGREE OF SOCIALIZATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING OF VOLUNTEERS FOR THE PREVENTION AND HANDLING OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE TASK FORCE (PPKS) FOR STUDENTS

In an effort to create a campus environment that is safe and free from sexual violence, Task Force for Preventing and Handling Sexual Violence (PPKS Task Force) UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung held socialization and capacity building activities for volunteers from the Task Force for Preventing and Handling Sexual Violence (PPKS) for UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung students in the Floor theater room 3 KH building. This event was attended by student representatives from various faculties, as well as a volunteer for the Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (PPKS) UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. In the event, The material was delivered by the head of the Center for Gender Studies, Children and Disabled LP2M UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung Dra. Umy Zahroh, M.Kes, Ph.D., and Dr. Rohmawati, M.A., as Chair of the Task Force for Preventing and Handling Sexual Violence ( PPKS ) UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung.

This activity aims to equip students as agents of change in preventing and handling cases of sexual violence on campus. The participants were given a comprehensive understanding of men

about gender-based violence that still often occurs in higher education environments. Besides that, they are also equipped with various effective prevention strategies, from awareness campaigns to proper reporting mechanisms. So that, armed with new knowledge and skills, Volunteers are expected to be able to provide support for victims of sexual violence and play an active role in creating a safe campus culture, comfortable, and free from sexual violence.

The spirit of enthusiasm was clearly visible from the faces of the participants in the socialization and capacity building volunteers from the Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (PPKS) for UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung students. They seriously follow every material presented, starting from understanding gender-based violence to strategies for preventing and handling cases of sexual violence in higher education.
