Samar Village – Pagerwojo (Saturday, 10 August 2019), IAIN Tulungagung KKN students participated in enlivening the Eid al-Adha holiday together with the Samar Village Community by holding Takbir around the Village.
IAIN Tulungaung students who carry out the Real Work Lecture service program in Samar village prefer not to go home to celebrate Eid al-Adha with their families. This is due to the desire of KKN participants to be total in implementing this KKN program with the community. according to the head of the Samar Village KKN post, “We often celebrate Eid al-Adha with our family every year, On this occasion we were given the opportunity by the campus and the Samar Village community to serve ourselves in the community, and this is a rare opportunity for students”.
Takbir traveling is an Indonesian tradition to welcome Islamic holidays such as Eid al-Adha and Idhul Fitri.. At this great momentum, KKN students got involved in celebrating Idhul Adha by chanting takbir around Samar Village, Pagerwojo District..
Wiwik Agustina (Samar Village KKN participant) display, “This activity is a superior work program from the religious, social and cultural division, because this program is in direct contact with the traditions and religious values of the Samar Village community which is carried out every year”.
The people of Samar Village were very enthusiastic about participating in this lively traveling takbir, not just adults, TPQ children were also heavily involved in enlivening this activity.
“This activity was attended by younger siblings from TPQ Al-Ikhlash who were around our post. In this activity, the younger siblings who follow are required to carry "Oncor" or "Torch" and recite takbir during the journey.. This event was very enthusiastically welcomed by residents around our post,” explained Wiwik.
The activity lasted for 2 jam, Gema Takbir traveling was successfully held. The Samar Village community seemed enthusiastic and solemn in carrying it out until the end of the activity.
