CENTRAL KARANG, PELVIC – Command Post 1 Karangtengah KKN IAIN Tulungagung, on 08-09 August 2019 has held a series of environmental care activities with children. Implementation of activities located in SDN 02 Karangtengah Dsn Kuyam, which lasted for two consecutive days. The theme taken in this activity is "Developing a Young Generation that Cares About the Environment".
The first activity was socialization about the environment delivered by Endah Setiani as Environmental Health Officer who was accompanied by Awang Febri Gumilar. Meanwhile, the participants in this socialization are all elementary school residents 02 Karangtengah, including teachers and KKN IAIN Tulungagung colleagues.
Many things were conveyed by the presenters, especially to improve a healthy lifestyle through small things such as washing hands regularly, keep the environment clean whether at home or at school, and so on.
The second day continued with cleaning the school environment together, starting from planting plants and cleaning. In accordance with the planning agenda, It is recommended that each child bring one type of plant, whether it is a flower or a plant, and a bottle container for plant pots.
Don't want to lose, KKN colleagues also participated by providing several sacks of soil, organic fertilizer, some pots and plants. The children's enthusiasm was extraordinary, This can be seen during the implementation of socialization and planting. Everyone takes part in every activity process that has been determined.
