KKN students in Suruh Village, Suruh District held an Islamic Sholeh Children's Festival, (PHASES) at the Mosque Baiturrahman Friday, 9 August 2019. This festival held to commemorate Eid al-Adha and the Republic of Indonesia's independence day 74 year. The event started at around one in the afternoon after Friday prayers
Several children participating in the competition had already arrived at the mosque. They looked enthusiastic about welcoming the event that would soon take place. One per one contestant arrives, then write a list of participants and the type of competition to be followed.
This event began with remarks from Ustad Arif as administrator of the Baiturrahman mosque and teacher at TPA Baiturrahman. Then it was continued by the FASI committee. The mosque is quite large and is divided into four rooms. Competitions held The first time was the call to prayer competition, short surah memorization competition, calligraphy competition, and calligraphy coloring competition. The quiz competition was in that session The last one was carried out after the congregational Ashar prayer at the Baiturrahman Mosque. Each competition is prepared by two judges, all judges are KKN students.
Overall the FASI event went smoothly. The call to prayer and short surah memorization competition went smoothly, looks like a number participants were shy when they came forward. In this calligraphy competition, it also exceeded expectations, Initially, the committee was worried that the participants would have difficulty making calligraphy as exemplified, but the truth is they can do it with easy. Don't underestimate the abilities of young children.
Alhamdulillah, FASI went smoothly, hopefully holding this event can inspire many parties in the future to create This kind of event is even better. What's more, we hope that this event can be done reminded the younger siblings of the competition participants so that in the future they will become braver, confident, and compete with each other in achievements.
