TULUNGAGUNG – Every academic is required to be able to produce scientific articles. Especially for those who hold the title of professor, the writing must be published in a reputable international journal. With these consequences, the campus continues to encourage lecturers to continue publishing their work.

The step taken by IAIN Tulungagung through the Center for Gender and Child Studies to encourage its lecturers to write is by holding a national webinar with the theme “Writing Scientific Articles on the Theme of Gender and Children in reputable National-International Journals” on Monday (23/11/2020).
Chairman of LP2M IAIN Tulungagung Ngainun Naim said this activity was carried out as a form of institutional responsibility to encourage lecturers' work to continue to be abundant.

“This time we raise the theme of gender and children. It is hoped that from this theme many articles will be born,” he said.

The Chancellor of IAIN Tulungagung, Prof. Maftukhin, said that with article writing training, it was hoped that written products could contribute to regulations, both regional regulations and regulations within higher education institutions..

“Hopefully the resulting research can contribute to regulations at the district government or university level,” he said.

Prof. Maftukhin continued, If the research and written results can be useful for regulations at the level of regional regulations or higher education institutions, then that is where universities are not only in the ivory tower.. But, can be present to provide benefits that can be felt by the community.

Meanwhile Prof. Irwan Abdullah, The resource person in this webinar said that many lecturers in Indonesia have gone into the field a lot but have produced little writing. The difference, lecturers abroad can produce a lot of writing in one field trip.

“So let's keep writing together. Once you go out into the field you can write a piece for Sinta's journal 2, one for Scopus journal, and one for the journal on campus,” he said.

Chairman of PSGA IAIN Tulungagung Sulistyarini said the participants involved in this activity were diverse. Even, There are elderly lecturers who are part of this activity.

“Hopefully this activity will bring benefits and bring goodness to future generations,” he said. (*)
