CENTRAL KARANG, PANGGUL – IAIN Tulungagung KKN students in Karangtengah Village held a social care movement with the elderly community, 15 August 2019. The activities took place at the Karangtengah Village Hall, Krajan Hamlet. The theme taken in this activity is "Staying Cheerful in Old Age".
The first activity was socialization about health and prevention of various diseases delivered by Mr. Sentot Amd kep, as Health Officer (Nurse Provider) Pelvic Health Center. Meanwhile, the participants in this socialization are the elderly Mr/Mrs from Karangtengah Village, including Mr/Mrs Health Officer, especially Mr Mantri Yusuf, a health center officer in Karangtengah Village, posyandu cadres and IAIN Tulungagung KKN colleagues from the post 1 Karangtengah Village.
The speaker said a lot, especially to care more about health by facilitating a healthy lifestyle through small things such as doing simple exercises that are done regularly in the morning or after waking up, in order to reduce stress levels or reduce pain in the joints.
The second activity continued with practicing simple gymnastic movements led by IAIN Tulungagung KKN colleagues, It is hoped that this will enable elderly Mr/Mrs to practice it themselves at home. After the exercise, the event continues with a health check by health workers, namely Mantri Yusuf as the local health worker who is also assisted by posyandu cadres and other health workers., The event closed with the provision of free medicine to each participant. The activity ended at 1:00 p.m 12.00 WIB. (*)
