NGERDAN, DONGKO – In an effort to overcome economic problems in Ngerdani Village, IAIN Tulungagung KKN Economics Division with the support of field supervisors (DPL) launch a work program based on community empowerment patterns. One of the objectives of this work program is to develop community participation, in playing an active role in supporting the economy in Ngerdani Village.
Seeing a lot of potential that can be managed, However, the community does not play an active role in managing village potential. We took the initiative to collaborate with the economic division to provide entrepreneurship training in the form of making tissue holders from banana stems, This is because there are so many banana stems that are not used and are wasted.
However, if you can manage the fronds, they have a high selling value. Craft making was chosen because it can be done without being bound by time and at any time.
“I really support this training, Hopefully this training can help improve the economy in Ngerdani village,” said the local village head.
“If you want to become an entrepreneur, you must never give up, keep learning from mistakes to be better. It is impossible if we try new things to immediately get maximum results," said DPL IAIN Tulungagung, Saiful Bahri.
This activity was guided by Saiful Bahri who happens to have a property business. He explained the process of making tissue from banana fronds very well step by step, and he also taught how to package neatly to attract consumers to buy it.
The village head seemed to really pay attention to the processes conveyed by the resource persons. And people are very enthusiastic about being able to learn and apply it.
