Sawahan-Pinggul. Friday (16/08/2019) The village government together with GP Ansor Sawahan and Mental Revolution KKN Students IAIN Tulungagung held a joint prayer for the freedom fighters of the Republic of Indonesia as well as welcoming the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day to 74 year.
This tirakatan activity was carried out at the Hall Sawahan Village which was attended by religious leaders, village government, all RW-RT Chairmen, and village community/youth organizations.
Ali Ma'sum as Chair of GP Ansor said that in the Soekarno era it was at night 17 August is called the long nights, because there was a big struggle for the progress of Indonesian government. At that time, the drafting of the Indonesian independence text took place, this happens on the clock 3 until 5 morning till night 17 August is called the night of tirakatan.
“Reflecting on the struggles of our heroes, Our job is to remember the struggles of the heroes and pray for them. The hope of the warriors for the successors is what already exists and has been prepared by the predecessors called the Indonesian Nation that is able to stand on its own land and stand on its own feet as what the warriors have fought for,he said.
This activity was also continued with a joint viewing of the film "Sang Kiai" and Dagelan Wayang as well as a friendly reception which was enthusiastically welcomed by invited guests until the early hours of the morning..
