TULUNGAGUNG – IAIN Tulungagung's movement to teach from home has been ongoing since the end of last January. This movement was carried out by 4.000 students involved in real work lectures (KKN) virtual from home (VDR) 2021.
Chairman of LP2M IAIN Tulungagung Ngainun Naim said that KKN participants were given the task of teaching in their respective homes.. This movement was carried out because almost all educational institutions are still conducting online learning.
"This movement is a form of IAIN Tulungagung's commitment to continue serving the community in the midst of the pandemic,'' he said.
This doctor who graduated from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Jogjakarta continued the concept of the IAIN Tulungagung teaching from home movement by asking students participating in KKN to teach children from PAUD to SMP around his house.. You can invite children to your home or the student concerned can come to the home of the child you are studying with.
"So the number of children taught is limited so that there is no crowd. Health protocols are strictly implemented. They must wear a mask when teaching and keep a distance,’’ he explained.
Naim continued that for those whose areas are under PSBB conditions or red zones, students can teach online. Therefore, learning can still be done.
''We ask students to only teach for three days. But if it ends up becoming a routine activity where he lives, we will appreciate it,he said.
According to Naim, There are various teaching materials from home. Not just religious material. But, there are also other lessons taught to children. There are also those who provide material about the importance of maintaining health protocols.
''The point is that they accompany learning. More specifically for children from low-income families who cannot participate in online learning,he said.
The distribution of students involved in this movement is not only in Tulungagung. But it is all over Indonesia. Reason, KKN participating students come from various cities in Indonesia. Like from Lampung, Jambi or from Kalimantan.
“Our KKN participants are spread throughout Indonesia. Hopefully this will bring benefits to education in Indonesia,he concluded.
