TUMPAKKEPUH, Daffodils – It started with residents often distributing cassava harvested from their fields to Tumpakkepuh Dua KKN students, so that we took the initiative to hold natural resource processing training and creativity competitions for local women in managing the natural resource results that have been obtained so far..
After negotiations and the results of consultations with the Wotgalih hamlet head, KKN students from UIN SATU officially held a themed activity Natural Resources Processing Training and Creation on Friday, 10 February 2023. This activity aims to develop MSMEs in Tumpakkepuh village, especially MSMEs in Wotgalih hamlet.
The target of this activity is the Wotgalih hamlet community, attended by approx 70 citizens and 8 representatives from each RT to take part in creative competition activities, 8 The representatives consist of: 2 delegates per RT.
The schedule of activities begins with an opening, welcome, and delivery of material by Mrs. Tyas, as the wife of the Head of Tumpakkepuh Village. Then, followed by preparations for the creation competition, judging, winner announcement, gift-giving, and the closing carried out by Mrs. Tyas and Mrs. RW Wotgalih hamlet.
On the sidelines of training activities and natural resource processing creations, Tumpakkepuh KKN student 2 also held a free clothes and book bazaar. The clothes and books provided were completely gone because the clothes and books provided were in very usable condition.
Activities start at 14.00 WIB until 12:00 p.m 17.00 WIB. The winner of the creation competition is obtained from RT 003 with a creative menu entitled "Gethuk Sultan Balls", followed by the champion 2 from RT 004 with a creative menu entitled "Lumer Cassava Talam". Even though the weather was less than favorable, but the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the residents continues to burn.
The head of the local RT expressed his gratitude because with this activity the KKN students had been quite helpful in maintaining harmony, compactness, and citizen creativity. With this activity too, KKN students also play a role in providing inspiration to residents. With cassava, we can make thousands of creations that are filling and fun. Especially in Wotgalih hamlet itself, The cassava harvest is very abundant. After this activity was held, Residents who were initially lazy about processing cassava became enthusiastic and motivated.
