FOR POH, RESPONSIBILITY – Halal certification is one of the important things that must be there when you want to market a product with the aim that the product being marketed can have a halal logo on its packaging so that it can attract more customers.. In this KKN activity, the campus provides a free self-declaration halal certification program.
This program is carried out only for selected products, namely products that do not contain animal ingredients in the form of meat such as chicken and are not restaurant business products. Examples of selected products that can register halal certification include foods that are not too complicated to make, drinks and traditional medicines such as herbal medicine.
In this KKN, the campus is PLH (Halal Service Center) UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung will process all products that will be registered for halal certification. Before the registration process, Each KKN student group is given the responsibility to be able to prepare at least 3 business actors whose products will be registered with halal certification.
Therefore, before each group is socialized about halal certification by the UIN SATU campus, they must first survey the area where the KKN group is located., then business actors who are willing to register their products will later be accompanied by 3-4 students in each group for socialization, on 30 January 2023 o'clock 09.45 which is located in Akungunung sub-district.
The socialization event was attended by the campus, namely PLH UIN SATU, district authorities, sub-district coordination, village coordination, students of each group as companions to business actors and the business actors themselves. At the start of the event, an opening was held with a welcome by the sub-district coordination, Mr. Camat and the campus, namely PLH UIN SATU.
After the speech was given, it was immediately continued with the delivery of halal certification material carried out by PLH UIN SATU as well as material regarding the stages of applying for halal certification.. The event lasted for approx 1 the hour is from 09.45 until o'clock 11.00, Even though many participants from business circles were unable to attend for some reason, the event still went well and smoothly.
