WONOTIRTO, BLITAR – There are two KKN groups in Wonotirto village, one of the team's superior work programs is reforestation. This activity was carried out as an effort by the KKN team to help with village problems, namely the lack of water to meet daily needs.
For, With this, the team is trying to create a reforestation program to store water in the village. This activity was held on Sunday, 12 February 2023 which collaborates with the Blitar Environmental Service. In this case, The team carries out active collaboration with several levels of society, one of them is the Wonotirto Village Youth Organization.
“We really agree and appreciate Mas' activities, Miss KKN, which she hopes this can become problemsolve in the community and help the local economy,” said Mas Budi as chairman of the Wonotirto Village Youth Organization.
Before implementing this agenda, The team went directly to the community to ask what kind of seeds the community wanted. After two days the team went around for observations, The team found that most people want tree seeds that can absorb water and can do something that local communities can manage in the long term.
So to respond to this, The KKN team decided to plant petai seeds for reforestation. The reason for choosing this seed is because the petai tree is a vegetable that is often in demand by the public in general and the price is relatively stable, it could even continue to rise. Supported by land construction in the mountains and several places have terraced construction, The water available in this area is also quite difficult to meet the needs of less strong trees.
