LIFE, SENDANG – Real Work Study Students (KKN) Sayyid Ali Rahmatulah University Tulungagung Nyawangan Village Group 1. Has played an active role in the implementation of KKN activities carried out on date 20 January 2023 up to you 20 February 2023 in Nyawangan Village, Sendang District, Tulungagung Regency.
The flagship work program of the Health and Environment Division of the Nyawangan Village KKN group 1 is recovery spring source by planting 200 trees around the spring on the slopes of Bukit Wilis. This superior program was selected after students from the Health and Environment Division performed survey location in the area around the Wilis slopes.
From the results survey the, students discovered that the water source in Nyawangan Village was right on the slopes of Wilis Hill, and it is an important water source for the people of the Sendang area. There is a river that flows directly downwards, which is one of the important points in maintaining the water source, By planting plant seeds that have high water absorption, water sources can be maintained.
Together with the East Java Natural Adventure Association community (GPAJ) chaired by Mr Joko. This work program is implemented on Sundays, 29 January 2023, o'clock 07.00 WIB on the slopes of Willis Hill. By planting pine tree seeds as one of the plants that has good water absorption. The hope of implementing this work program is that the water springs in Nyawangan Village can be maintained and get better.
This event also invites the local community, and also youth organizations to be able to participate in planting. It is hoped that local residents and Karang Taruna youth will also understand how to protect water sources. By planting trees that have high water absorption, It is also hoped that local residents will not cut down trees carelessly in order to keep the forest beautiful in Nyawangan Village.
