Tulungagung, 27 June 2024 – Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung held an important event in the Research and Publication Coaching series with the theme “Publication Strategy in Scopus Indexed Journals”. This event presented Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zamzami, Lc, M.Fil.I as the main resource person, which provides an in-depth explanation of effective strategies for publishing scientific work in reputable international journals.
In the ongoing session, Prof. Zamzami emphasized several important points that researchers must pay attention to so that their work can be accepted in Scopus indexed journals. First, he emphasized that research content must be in accordance with the scope and objectives of the journal being addressed. The relevance of the content to the journal field will increase the article's chances of being accepted and published.
Second, Article abstracts must meet the English language requirements set by Scopus. A good abstract must be clear, brief, and able to explain the essence of the research in language that is easily understood by international readers. Abstracts that meet these standards will make it easier for editors and reviewers to understand research contributions.
Besides that, Prof. Zamzami also emphasized the importance of understanding the policies of the journal being addressed. Each journal has different guidelines and policies, so researchers need to adjust their manuscripts according to existing regulations. Understanding these policies will help researchers avoid rejecting articles for administrative or technical reasons.
Final, he underlined the importance of collaborating with international authors. This collaboration can not only improve the quality of research but also expand the academic network of researchers. Collaboration with authors from various countries can provide new perspectives and increase the credibility of articles in the eyes of reviewers.
This event is part of LP2M's ongoing efforts to improve the quality and quantity of scientific publications at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. With this coaching, It is hoped that lecturers and researchers can implement the strategies they have learned and successfully publish their research in leading international journals. This will not only enhance the reputation of individual researchers but also make the university proud in the global academic arena.
