Tulungagung — Head of the Religious Moderation and Human Resource Development Agency (BMBPSDM) Indonesian Ministry of Religion, Prof. Muhammad Ali Ramdhani, emphasizes four fundamental principles that must be fulfilled in the implementation of education, including religious moderation education. He conveyed this message at the event Strengthening Religious Moderation for Lecturers which was held in the Floor Hall 3 UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Rectorate Building (UIN ONE) Tulungagung on Friday (21/11/2025).
In front of invited lecturers and teachers, Prof. Ramdhani emphasized that ideal education must be inclusive and can be accessed by all levels of society. There should be no left groups, including those with physical limitations.
“No one to left behind, nothing can be left behind,he stressed.
The second principle he highlights is relevance, namely, education must be in tune with current developments and adaptive to technology. He emphasized the importance of digital literacy and the use of artificial intelligence in the world of education.
"Humans who take advantage of AI will replace those who do not use it,he said.
Third principle, according to him, is competitiveness. Religious college, including UIN SATU Tulungagung, must be able to produce graduates who are competitive and ready to compete at national and global levels.
"Don't just be in the corner of civilization. Take advantage of technology, but directed technology,” the message.
Meanwhile, the fourth principle is sustainability and character formation. In the context of religious moderation, Educational institutions must instill the value of justice, openness, tolerance, as well as anti-extremism attitudes in religious and social life.
In his talk, Prof. Ramdhani also quoted Sayyidina Ali bin Abi Talib's message that knowledge is the best inheritance for future generations. Knowledge, he said, time will not run out, different from assets that require guarding.
He also touched on the global situation, including the humanitarian crisis in Palestine which has claimed more than 80 thousand souls. However, he warned that there was a threat global warming no less dangerous, it is even said to cause greater deaths in various parts of the world. This is the reason that prompted the Minister of Religion, Prof. KH. Nasaruddin Umar, campaigning for ecotheology as a spiritual and ecological movement.
Previously, Chancellor of UIN SATU Tulungagung, Prof. H. Abd. Aziz, In his speech he revealed that the campus continues to improve the quality of human resources. He also conveyed plans for environmentally friendly campus development through programs ReliGreen.
“Hopefully, This campus is a comfortable place to study, interesting, and environmentally friendly,he said.
