Tulungagung – 7 December 2021, Development Planning Agency at Sub-National Level (Bappeda) Tulungagung held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) acceleration of integrated stunting management in the Tulungagung Regency area in 2018 2021. The focused discussion was held in the Yudistira Hall, Batara Convention Center Tulungagung.
The event starts at 10.00 WIB was attended by the Regional Secretary of Tulungagung Regency Drs. Sukaji, M.Si, Head of relevant Regional Apparatus, from Camat- Tulungagung Regency, Village Head/Lurah in the stunting location area, Head of UPTD Community Health Centers throughout the District. Tulungagung, Tulungagung Regency PKK Mobilization Team, Professional organizations, Mass organizations/NGOs, Village assistants and Human Development Cadres, APSAI/Business World/CSR Forum and Higher Education Elements.
Mariani, as Head of Bappeda Tulungagung gave a briefing that Tulungagung is one of the districts in East Java which has been designated as a center for handling stunting based on the decision of the central Bappenas. This can be seen in Presidential Decree no 72 year 2021 regarding the acceleration of stunting reduction.
The next speech was delivered by the regional secretary of Tulungagung Regency, Sukaji. In his speech he gave directions that every regional apparatus must create work that strengthens each other in synergy. This is required so that the stunting reduction target can be carried out precisely and carefully.
Accelerating the stunting reduction program must also involve other parties. Among other parties involved is Dunia Usaha (private), College (Academy), ranks of community organizations (Muslims, Aisyiah, Salimah), NGOs and the media should join hands to work together in efforts to assist changes in people's behavior with two-way communication, information and education as well as community-based health efforts, and support from the Village Government is also needed in handling stunting through APBDes allocations.
