TULUNGAGUNG – Community Service Program (KKN) wave II State Institute of Islamic Religion (IAIN) Tulungagung was released by the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Tuesday (16/07/2019) on the local campus grounds.

After laying the first stone for the construction of the campus library, Minister of Religion Lukman Hakim walked accompanied by the Chancellor of IAIN Tulungagung, Prof. Dr. Maftukhin, M.Ag headed to the prepared stage.
In his speech, Chancellor of IAIN Tulungagung Prof. Dr. Maftukhin, M.Ag said that there were five types of KKN held.
Namely the national KKN in Ternate-Tidore, KKN Nusantara in Samarinda, International KKN in Southern Thailand. For KKN-Mental Revolution in Panggul and Pule Districts, Trenggalek Regency. Whereas, KKN-Regular in Dongko District and Order Trenggalek Regency. As well as, Pagerwojo District, Tulungagung Regency.
The Chancellor explained that KKN RM exists 5 The value to be achieved is that Indonesia serves, clean, independent, Healthy, and united.
There are a number of students involved in KKN 1.612 people. The details of KKN-Regular are as many as 1.081 student. A number of KKN-RM 511 student. For KKN-International there is 10 student. There are five students each for KKN-Nationality and KKN-Nusantara.
Prof. Maftukhin explained that this time there was a second wave of KKN. Reason, The first wave was held in January. The KKN implementation lasted for more than a month. KKN will end at the end of August.
“Mental Revolution KKN which was held on 2018 awarded as the best national KKN-RM organizer. We beat some big universities,” he said.
This man who was born in Pekalongan continued his other achievements, namely as the only IAIN at PTKIN selected for the National Community Service Program.
“We are also the best international organizer of International KKN in Thailand. Besides that, The best KKN driving multi-sectoral community empowerment in the southern region,” he explained.
The Chancellor explained further, KKN at IAIN Tulungagung is a national reference for thematic literacy developers. There is also a national reference for social media-based KKN developers.
“So these KKN activities are recorded in books written by our students,” said the professor of philosophy.
Meanwhile, Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia Lukman Hakim Saifuddin said he was grateful to be part of the process of releasing a number of IAIN Tulungagung students to undertake KKN.
“I'm grateful to be here. KKN is an embodiment, embodiment, and manifestations of your existence as a student. This is an inseparable part of the academic community in carrying out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Namely, Education, Research and Community Service,” he said.
Lukman gave a message to the students, Real work studies are a stage for blending into society. So, Students will do three things. Namely, tri dharma higher education.
“So for several days you receive educational material with the community. Get knowledge too,” he explained.
Lukman said, At the same time, students can conduct research in the community. Reason, students live together with the community. Furthermore, together with the community to find a way out.
“Based on the educational process experienced several semesters on campus. You can work together with the community to find solutions to the problems you are facing,” he explained.
According to the Minister of Religion, Tri Dharma can be realized through KKN.
“So, I am grateful to be able to participate in releasing this KKN. I really believe in the people in charge and supervisors to ensure that KKN becomes a social laboratory,” said the Minister of Religion.
Lukman ordered, an important capital in society, namely always humbly accompanying the community.
“Even though you are a student. Great student. You must remain humble. Because be humble and remain modest, whatever problems we face can be resolved well,” he said. (aam)
