JOMBOK, WEEK – The potential that exists in Jombok Village can be said to be quite varied. Starting from Cassava Crackers, Empon-empon, Serih Wangi, Patchouli Oil, and Janggelan. All of these products have their respective production sites. One of them is the Janggelan Center which is managed by Suyari in Sidem Hamlet.
Janggelan itself is no longer just processed into 'black grass jelly'’ as is often found in the market. In Jombok, janggelan has been processed into various types of interesting preparations, there are odd sticks, hard drink, and odd jelly. Everything has also been packaged in quite attractive packaging.
From the name menu Suyari, There are still quite a lot of obstacles to janggelan production. One of them is a marketing problem, So far, Suyari only produces if there is an order. If there is no order, then janggelan will only be stored or sold outside Jombok Village in its raw state.
Jombok Village KKN students after coordinating with the Jombok Village Head, Nur Salim, apparently found the same thoughts and ideas. That the solution to this problem is to increase people's consumption of their own local products. If every event in the village always uses its own local products, Funds within the village will circulate and can be used within the village itself.
As explained by Nur Salim, “Society must be more innovative, Creative, and Solutions. Don't just stay silent, Everything in the village must be utilized as much as possible by the village community itself.” Of course this is in accordance with the Mental Revolution KKN program, namely the Independent Indonesia Movement.
Final, “Socialization of Loving Local Products” which was held in Kojan Hamlet, Jombok Village, was held successfully. The public seemed enthusiastic about listening to Suwanto, resource persons from Pule Small and Medium Industries. (Aba’)
