In Krenceng Village there is only one elementary school (Elementary school) namely UPT SD Negeri Krenceng 01. UPT (Technical Implementation Unit) is an independent organizational unit that carries out technical tasks operational and/or technical duties of the parent organization. UPT Principal Krenceng State Elementary School 01 is Agus Setyo Adi Wiyono. Number of male students is 47 child, while the number of female students is 44 child.
In an effort to deal with the problem spiritual education at Krenceng State Elementary School UPT 01, IAIN KKN Education Division Tulungagung with support from teachers and the Principal of Krenceng State Elementary School UPT 01, guiding students in congregational midday prayers. The purpose of holding this activity is to raise awareness of congregational prayer for State Elementary School UPT students Krenceng 01.
“It's difficult for children to pray together, if no one is watching. I've tried to get roughed up before, but those kids instead he complained to his parents so problems arose. This activity is carried out every Monday to Thursday. All Krenceng State Elementary School UPT students 01 obligated to attend midday prayers in congregation. However, There is just the behavior of Krenceng State Elementary School UPT students 01 when midday prayers in congregation take place like moving prayer places, disturbing other friends, even sharing sarongs. Although every day male students are reminded to bring sarongs and mukenas for female students, There are still many students who don't bring them.
When entering midday prayer time, Students are asked to take ablution water. Of course, accompanied by IAIN Tulungagung KKN students. After taking ablution water, one of the students uttered the call to prayer. Due to the prayer room at UPT SD Negeri Krenceng 01 There are two floors and each floor is not very wide, then the division is carried out. For class 1 until 3 on the floor 1, while class 4 until 6 on the floor 2. After performing midday prayers in congregation, class students 1 until 3 go home to each other, while class 4 until 6 Go back to class because there are still learning hours.
With this activity, Both the school and students of KKN IAIN Tulungagung hope that in the future midday prayers will be held at UPT SD Negeri Krenceng 01 can be done better, and children are expected to have the personal awareness to perform midday prayers in congregation without being asked by anyone.
