
BLITAR – Bumirejo, Kesamben – Posyandu (Service Post Integrated Health Family Planning) This activity is a health activity basis organized from, by and for the communities assisted by health worker.
On Wednesday, 5 February 2020 IAIN Tulungagung KKN students in Bumirejo village post 2 took part in one of the village activities, namely the toddler posyandu in Sumberbendo Selatan hamlet.
This toddler posyandu activity starts at 08.00-12.00 WIB which was attended by posyandu cadre mothers and also Midwife Lilik Puji Astuti and mothers of toddlers.
Activities carried out include weighing, height measurement, and also child health checks which aim to determine the level of child stunting in South Sumberbendo hamlet.
In this posyandu assistance activity, the KKN students were attended by sister Desy Ro'izatul Azizah, Ita full moon sari, Nur Kumala Sari, Laili Munjidah, and Rikha Maulidia. The number of toddlers attending posyandu is approx 40 child.
This posyandu activity begins with registration, toddler weighing, measure height, then handed over the KIA book (Maternal and Child Health) which in this book contains maternal health records (hamil, childbirth and postpartum) and child (newborns to toddlers 5 year).
As well as various information on how to maintain and care for the health of mothers and children. Then given PMT (Supplementary Food) The food provided includes jelly and Nagasari wet cakes.
KKN students conveyed, “There is 5 table in posyandu activities, table 1 used for toddler registration, table 2 used to collect KIA books (Maternal and Child Health), table 3 used to write weight and height data of toddlers”.
“Then the table 4 used to record the age of toddlers to get blue vitamin A (age 6-11 month) and red (age 12-59 month), and table 5 used for vitamin A administration. Vitamin A is provided free of charge every February and August every year”, he added.

On the occasion of the toddler posyandu in South Sumberbendo hamlet this time, midwives provide counseling to mothers of toddlers about getting used to saving from an early age by mobilizing mothers of toddlers to follow programs held by midwives.
With this program, midwives have provided free savings books to be distributed to mothers of toddlers. This really needs to be paid attention to, especially for children's growth and development so that they get used to saving from an early age. Environmental Division
