LIFE, SENDANG – On Wednesday, 1 February 2023 Economic Division of the Nyawangan Village KKN group 1 collaborating with the Economic Division of the Nyawangan Village KKN group 3. We have successfully held seminars and training events with themes Efforts to Empower the Nyawangan Village Community Economically. This event has certainly been very well prepared, starting from the presenter, activity theme, and places to conduct seminars, and training and holding discussions with the Nyawangan Village KKN group 3.

This event generated good enthusiasm from village youth, village officials and all residents of Nyawangan Village, attended by two village officials, and eighteen residents from various hamlets. As for, The speaker who provided seminars and training was Bahar Bima Putra. He was born in the city of Blitar. He is also currently studying to become a Regular student 5 SMEs and are currently entrepreneurship

In the beginning, This seminar and training was held in the morning but was hampered because the residents of Nyawangan Village had daily activities such as milking cows during the day., and looking for grass. This activity is planned to start at 18.00, but because it is hampered by several things, such as unfavorable weather so that residents cannot arrive on time. So our new event starts at 19.00 WIB.

The event opened with a welcome from Mr. Suprapto he said, that the people in Nyawangan Village still lack the knowledge to make chips properly. However, on the other hand, Mr. Suprapto emphasized that the people in Nyawangan Village are comfortable with their work as dairy farmers. But there is great hope for the people in Nyawangan Village to learn, and can develop cassava chips properly, and can advance MSMEs in Jiwangan Sendang village.

Then, followed by presentation of seminar material from Mas Bahar who stated, that the basis for making good chips is to cut the cassava thinly and evenly so that it is cooked perfectly, and must be given baking soda with the aim of crisping the cassava chips. From this explanation, Residents gave a positive response by conveying what problems they were facing and hoped to get solutions from the seminar material provided.

The seminar ends at 20.30 WIB, then continued with training by Mas Bahar. According to the seminar theme, This training shows how to make crispy cassava chips. One way, namely using baking soda. With this training, Residents seemed interested in knowing the tips and tricks provided, and residents are expected to be able to develop the potential of MSMEs. This training was successfully carried out smoothly and ended at 21.30 WIB.

With this seminar and training, It is hoped that it can become an event used to apply the knowledge gained by Economics Division students while studying at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, so that it can be brought and distributed to residents as a solution to problems and needs in Nyawangan Village.
