Tulungagung, 7 Mei 2024 – Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) UIN SATU Tulungagung successfully held the 3rd Serie Research Coaching event with the main focus on “Research Trends in the Anthropology of Religion”. The event took place on the date 7 Mei 2024 This resource is Prof. Yanwar Private, Professor of Religious Anthropology from UIII.

In the coaching session, Prof. Yanwar Pribadi underlined the importance of understanding the role of religion in the social context, economy, culture, and broader politics. He also highlighted ethnic diversity, class, and social status in Indonesia as an important factor in understanding the dynamics of religion in society.

The next session discussed the potential for interdisciplinary studies in religious studies, by combining various scientific disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, political, economy, and law.

Ethnographic methodology and its application in the digital era are also a major highlight, where Prof. Pribadi emphasized the importance of utilizing digital technology in understanding cultural practices and social relations in society.

This event was attended by researchers, academy, and practitioners in the field of anthropology of religion, which is expected to provide new insights regarding research trends in this field as well as research methodologies that are relevant in the digital era.

Expected, This event can be a foundation for the development of religious studies in Indonesia, in accordance with the vision and mission of LP2M UIN SATU Tulungagung in increasing the contribution of science to society.
