
Trenggalek, 13 August 2024 – Prambon Village, Tugu District, Trenggalek Regency, become an important location for social and educational activities. One of the activities that has succeeded in having a positive impact on the local community is the blood donation program carried out by Real Work Lecture students (KKN) from UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung.
This program is seen as a very vital form of community service, especially in increasing the availability of blood for medical needs. KKN student from UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung made this blood donation program one of their flagship programs in Prambon Village. This activity not only succeeded in collecting a significant number of blood bags, but also increase public awareness of the importance of blood donation.
Initially, KKN participants carried out outreach to the local community. This is an activity that bridges the educational value of the urgency of blood donation. The local community is enthusiastic and looks interested. Therefore, before the blood donation process took place, the health team, assisted by KKN students, carried out temperature and health checks.
The enthusiasm of residents and several other parties was very high, This can be seen from the number of blood donation posts. The number of blood bags collected even exceeded the set target. However, Not all prospective participants can donate blood because some have health problems, such as anemia or low blood pressure. The success of this program cannot be separated from the support of various parties. Collaboration organized by KKN UIN SATU Tulungagung participants with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and assisted by the local Village Government produced satisfactory results. Not only that, several parties expressed their readiness to continue and revive the blood donation program in this village. This is in line with the wishes of KKN students who hope that this blood donation program can become a routine activity in Prambon Village, so that the availability of blood in the area can be guaranteed and help those in need. In conclusion, this program is a real example of community commitment to improving the quality of health and social solidarity.
