SAUCE, GANDUSARI. Jum’at, 24 January 2020. KKN IAIN TULUNGAGUNG from the Economic Division visited Ibu Heni's Rengginang Chips production site located in Soso village, Gandusari. Ibu Heni's chips are one of the superior products of MSMEs in Soso village. The Bu Heni Chips production site is located around one of the tourist villages in Soso, namely Lumbang Gede. When we visited Mrs. Heni's chips production site, it coincided with the process of making these chips, from the start of cutting, washing to the frying process.
Early The beginning of the production of these chips dates back to 3 years ago. Starting from Mrs. Heni's confusion in filling her free time, so Mrs. Heni tried to make some chips for the family snack. Starting from that a lot Mrs. Heni's friend who likes the chips she makes. So As time went by, Mrs. Heni received many orders from friends and... surrounding community. Until now, Mrs. Heni's production site is still in her home area.

When we visited his residence, Coincidentally, Mrs. Heni was making her own chips. The chips produced by Mrs. Heni are not just one type, including banana chips, bitter melon chips, tempeh chips, Menjes chips, cassava chips and many more. But at that time Mrs. Heni was only producing tempeh chips and bitter melon chips.
Process In the first stage of making tempeh chips, the tempeh is sliced very thinly The goal is for the final result to produce a crunchy tempeh texture. Stage secondly, making spices for tempe chip dough. Next is the tempeh sliced and dipped in the batter to fry until completely tempeh dry and crispy. After the tempeh is fried, the next process is chips inserted into the spinner to reduce the oil content of the chips so that the chips can last a long time. Next, the final stage is that the chips are packaged Use thick plastic specifically for food.
Marketing Mrs. Heni's homemade chips still don't have a very wide reach, still is around Soso village. Marketing is still word of mouth individual, and also sometimes entrusted to several shops and collectors is in Soso Village. Marketing of this production has not yet reached the media social.
Some the production stage has been completed, Don't forget, we also taste the results of the production the tempeh chips. Hopefully Mrs. Heni's Kerpik business will continue to grow and grow can provide employment opportunities for the surrounding community.
