By Based on art 1 verse 1, UU No 41 TH 2004. Explaining that waqaf is the legal act of waqif to separate or hand over part of one's property to be used forever or for a certain period of time in accordance with one's interests for the purposes of worship or general welfare according to sharia. Therefore on date 01 April 2022 KKN Students Building Sustainable Villages UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung held a Waqf Socialization event. This event was attended by mosque and prayer room takmirs in Jajar Village, Gandusari District, Trenggalek Regency. The aim of this activity is as an initial stage in the process of bridging endowments, which is one of the work programs of the social division, culture and religion. Besides that, This activity aims to provide understanding to the community, especially land owners whose land is used as a mosque or prayer room building in Jajar Village.. Because of the many mosques and prayer rooms in Jajar Village, there are still many that have not been registered as waqf.
Waqf socialization was held at the Jajar Village Hall at around 20.00 WIB. The event was opened by the presenter from one of the KKN students for Building Sustainable Villages, namely Lucky Prasetyo. Next, it began with remarks from the Village Head, namely Mr. Imam Mukariyanto Edy. Then continued the main event by the Jajar Village religious instructor and chairman of the Gandusari District Religious Affairs Office, namely Mr. Rokhim. He presented the material through PPT media or slides. The discussion includes an explanation of the meaning, benefits or functions to any elements required in the waqf process. In the midst of discussing the material presented, Participants were enthusiastic to ask questions. Although the participants in the waqf socialization were mosque and prayer room takmirs who were not considered young, However, the question and answer session took place actively. The event lasted until 12:00 p.m 22.00 WIB and ended with a prayer led by Mr. Saean as Chairman of the Jajar Village BPD.
With this waqf socialization activity, it is hoped that it can provide information and motivation to the community, especially all takmir mosques and prayer rooms in Jajar Village, Gandusari District, Trenggalek Regency in processing waqf that has not been resolved for a long time.. The follow-up to this activity is to help bridge the takmir of mosques and prayer rooms to complete the requirements for the endowment process with the Jajar Village Government., Office of Religious Affairs to the Ministry of Religion and the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI). Minimum achievement until the Waqf Pledge Act is implemented (HIV).
