Tulungagung-Thursday 19 January 2023 Sayyid Ali Rahmatulla Tulungagung State Islamic University held a big event, ceremony to send off year's KKN participants 2023. Planned first wave of KKN kick off starting date 19 January 2023 until 21 February 2023 This was opened directly by the Chancellor of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungaggung. This event, which was originally held in the Main Square, moved to the Saifudin Zuhri Building Auditorium floor 6.
Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service, Prof. Dr. Ngainun Naim in his report speech said that, "This year's KKN is the KKN with the most participants. A number 4290 Participants departed in Tulungagung sub-district, namely Pucanglaban, Responsibility, and Sendang and in Blitar in two sub-districts, Bakung and Wonotirto Districts. The largest number of KKN participants was recorded in Sendang District 1035 student."
“Apart from Tulungagung and Blitar Regencies," he continued. "This year's KKN there are several KKN students which are a development of the previous KKN implementation, namely KKN Ormada. This KKN has developed to occupy several locations in various districts. In between: Malang, Jombang, Ponorogo, Lamongan, Probolinggo, Pacitan, and Nganjuk. Next there is the Community Service Program for Building Sustainable Villages which has been running once in the previous period. Now MDB KKN is back in Trenggalek Regency in Karangan District, precisely in Krosok Village. This KKN comes with the same concept throughout 1 semester or 6 month as an application of the Independent Campus Learning Curriculum."
"Furthermore, to accommodate participants who are truly unable to go to the field with various obstacles such as disabilities, severe comorbid disease, Female students who are pregnant or breastfeeding are allowed to take part in a new type of KKN, namely Inclusive KKN. "A number of dozens of students have participated in this KKN and stated that they are physically and mentally ready to serve at the KKN location with full enthusiasm." Hundreds of student representatives from all KKN villages appeared to be applauding loudly.
Chancellor of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, Prof. Dr. Maftukhin stated that KKN is a very special campus program to bring students closer to the grassroots community. With KKN, campus will reveal its cloak to the community. "That with this, KKN of various types in wave one is declared open,"said the number one person at UIN, Sayiid Ali Rahmatullah, to warm applause from the audience. [red/nat]
