Iron Education in State Middle Schools 3 Pagerwojo

Anemia is a condition where the number of red blood cells is lower than normal. Adolescence and women of childbearing age are more susceptible to anemia, because you are menstruating so you lose a lot of blood, iron intake (Fe) from food is not enough so it is necessary to consume Blood Enhancing Tablets (TTD) regularly.

Consuming TTD regularly is very beneficial because it can increase study concentration, overcome 5L (Sluggish, Ladder, Weak, Tired, Default), and increase body endurance.

Apart from consuming TTD, needs to be balanced by consuming foods rich in iron such as liver, beef, dark green vegetables, nuts, fish, chicken meat. In general, women require a higher nutritional intake than men. Consuming TTD is recommended regularly once a week, 1 tablet and drink it together with water. It is also necessary to avoid drinking TTD together with tea, coffee, or milk.

This agenda received a positive response from the school, one of which was conveyed by Mamik, S.Pd. as part of the School Health Business (THE DOOR).

"Thank God, KKN IAIN Tulngagung has provided counseling to class children 7,8,9 and they are enthusiastic. Usually it's very difficult for them to take medicine, but because of encouragement from their older siblings who had already had breakfast, they wanted to drink TTD. Hope for the future, Later, the school can continue to collaborate with the campus or KKN IAIN Tulungagung.”

The impact of anemia may not be immediately visible, but it can last a long time and affect the teenager's future life. Anemia in teenage girls can also have long-term impacts on themselves and their children in the future. So, It is necessary to ensure that adolescents need iron from an early age to achieve optimal growth.
