I continue to express gratitude after being selected to represent IAIN Tulungagung as a participant in the 3T Nusantara KKN. I never thought I could pass the selection held by LP2M.
This year, Indonesian Ministry of Religion, has published the Nusantara KKN program in the 3T area (Outermost, Leading, Backward) as the newest and superior program, This Nusantara KKN was attended by all State Islamic Religious Universities throughout Indonesia which started in 11 January 2020 Up to you 14 February 2020.
Through this Nusantara KKN program, we get very valuable experience , living in disadvantaged and limited areas, More precisely, the location chosen was Sulamu District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.
Archipelago Community Service Method 3 T 2020 using the ABCD transformative approach (Asset Based Community Development), where service focuses on developing and empowering assets owned by the community.
Besides that, Indonesian Community Service Program 3 T 2020 This theme raises Religious Moderation (Peace Building) where religious moderation is a perspective on religious life with moderate values and in accordance with Indonesia's cultural diversity.
I learned a valuable lesson by living with all the deprivations, limitations and the majority of the community are Christians. The situation, makes this person feel anxious in matters of belief, where there are certain things that are prohibited by the Shari'a and in fact in society it has become their habit.
But this is just a feeling that we temporarily feel, The proof is that after only two days at the place of service, we were able to fall in love with the community, the majority of whom are Christians, they were very welcoming to our arrival.
This is proven by the second day we carried out the service that was given 2 goat's tail to serve as a dish for us Muslims at the Christmas thanksgiving event. This is a real manifestation of religious moderation, and in fact, East Nusa Tenggara Province is a region that upholds the value of tolerance and is ranked second in Indonesia after West Papua in terms of percentage 81.1 score index KUB (Harmony of Religious People) above the national average according to the Ministry of Religion 2019.
As Village Coordinator for Group One in Sulamu Village, where Sulamu Village is the center of government in Sulamu District, making me also appointed as District Coordinator.
This trust is really heavy, but this is a responsibility given to me and must be carried out with full confidence. Regarding service using the ABCD method, In my opinion, this is one of the newest breakthrough methods in the KKN program, where this method is very different from the KKN that I know so far.
The principle of this method is to make society an object and not a subject, As students who act as facilitators, we need to provide in-depth awareness and assistance regarding the assets owned by the community.
Through the assets owned by the community, The hope is that it will create an independent society, don't always wait for help and live in prosperity. If this goal is successful then it will be from the human resources aspect, economic resources and natural resources will increase.
On 14 February 2020 precisely at the Office of the Governor of NTT, We are all participants of the Indonesian KKN 3 T 2020 gathered for dinner with the Governor of NTT and an exposé on the results of the KKN as well as an official closing by the Governor of NTT.
During this meeting, as Village Coordinator, I had the opportunity to present the results of the KKN in front of the Governor of NTT, For me this is a very valuable and unforgettable experience in life.
Finally, Hopefully this service will bring benefits to the country and the nation, especially the people in Sulamu District and hopefully this service can provide blessings in our future. (Muhammad Tauhidurrochim)
