
BESUKI, PELVIC – In order to renovate the existing park in Sanggar Hamlet, Besuki Village, Pelvic District, Trenggalek Regency, as well as to help residents regarding medicinal plants, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung KKN student abbreviated as UIN SATU Tulungagung Besuki Group 1 create a TOGA garden (Family Medicinal Plants). TOGA park creation activities were carried out on 20 August 2022 until 28 August 2022. Sanggar Hamlet, Besuki Village, Trenggalek Regency is the location of the Besuki Group KKN students 1 carrying out community service. The students in creating the TOGA park were assisted by the Head of Sanggar Hamlet, Turaji, and the wife of the village head, Sukatma.
The construction of the TOGA park was carried out by all members of the Besuki KKN Group 1 which amounts to 19 student. TOGA Park was created in the courtyard of the Al-Huda Mosque located in RT 27. Support from the Head of Sanggar Hamlet and local residents made the construction of the TOGA park run smoothly.
There are various kinds of medicinal plants planted in the TOGA garden. Among them is ginger, lemongrass, and kencur. Students obtained ginger and lemongrass seeds from Sukatmi gifts, wife of the Head of Sanggar Hamlet. Meanwhile, kencur seeds are obtained from buying at the market.
Before the seeds are planted, The male students loosened the soil first using a hoe borrowed from the Head of Sanggar Hamlet. The male students are Moh. Khoirul Nizam, Secrets of Kham, M. Luqman Geovani, and M. Irfan. The four male students made several elongated mounds of earth. Mounds of soil are prepared for planting seeds. Finish preparing the planting medium, The male students then planted ginger and lemongrass seeds.
Meanwhile, the planting of kencur seeds was carried out by female students. Among them Zuhria Miftahul Azizah, Sonia Noor Alfu Laily, Dhefy Luchytasary, Nurul Fadilah, Nurita Andhini, Nurma Hidayah, Nabila Alkhalifatus Ramadhany, Nafis Melinda, and much more. Galangal seeds are planted some distance apart centimeter so that the galangal can grow well.
Finish planting the seeds, students build a bamboo fence on the edge of TOGA park. The students carried out the construction of the fence with the assistance of the Head of Sanggar Hamlet, Turaji, along with local residents. The bamboo fence is then painted with white paint. Finished fencing the TOGA garden with a bamboo fence, students make gates. The gate was built as a pillar banner which was previously designed by students.
