MOUNTAIN GEDE, WONOTIRTO – In pursuing greening of plants and improving the economy, environmental and health division of the Gunung Gede group 2 conduct a planting movement 100 Kaffir lime tree seeds imported directly from Ngunut District, Tulungagung. Before realizing the work program, we first coordinate with the head of the village about the land and clean the land before use.
The kaffir lime seeds were planted on empty land belonging to Mrs. Sunariyah which is just west of the group's KKN post 2 Mount Gede. This activity was successful and was attended by Mr. Muryanto as Head of Kalikenongo Hamlet and Mr. Wandi as Head of RT 03 RW 02. This activity was carried out at 08.00 WIB with a theme “From Us to the Earth.” The highlight of this activity was the planting of the first kaffir lime tree seedlings by the Head of Kalikenongo Hamlet.
Planting movement work program 100 Kaffir lime tree seedlings by UIN KKN student Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung received support from the village head, Mr Muryanto, and received good appreciation from the public. Apart from the benefits of natural greening, It is hoped that after the tree seedlings grow large, the community will be able to utilize the fruit produced by each tree. Photos and eating together were the closing agenda for this activity.
Our hope is that there will be a planting movement 100 Kaffir lime tree seedlings, namely the harvest from planting kaffir lime leaves, can be used by local residents in the long term, apart from that, it can also strengthen relations between students and village officials and the community of Gunung Gede Village, especially Kalikenongo Hamlet.. It is also hoped that with this planting more people can be cultivated.
By routinely providing organic fertilizer and good maintenance so that later the seeds can be cultivated and can improve the village economy by selling plant seeds., kaffir lime leaves, or sold after being processed and becoming a separate product. In this case, it can also open up employment opportunities so that it can reduce the unemployment rate in Wonotirto District. [Gunung Gede KKN 2/WFF]
