TUMPAKKEPUH, Daffodils – The awareness of the people of Tumpakkepuh Village regarding the abundant natural resources has resulted in many micro and small village businesses growing and developing. Business Viewing is one of the activities of the work program carried out by the economic division. Which contains activities in the form of direct involvement in community MSE activities around Tumpakkepuh Village. This activity was carried out during 5 consecutive days.
On the first day of implementation of the Business Monitoring work program, it started on 03 February 2023 o'clock 13.00 by visiting Mrs. Katemi's house. He is the owner of a micro and small business making peanut brittle. There we learned directly how to make peanut brittle starting from preparing the ingredients to the frying process.
Second day, we visited the house of Bu Kariyem who has a smoked fish business, There we helped Mrs. Kariyem in processing smoked fish. There are various types of fish there according to what they catch at sea. The third day, we visited the house of Mrs. Herni who is the owner of a micro and small business making market snacks such as: pastry, received orders for tumpeng, birthday cake, and accept orders for celebrations.
There we make many types of wet cakes such as: where-where, given, steamed cake, females, risol and various other market snacks. The fourth day, we visited Mrs. Jemini's house to learn to make cassava chips. Not only does he make cassava chips, he also makes various preparations such as: opak gambir, rocking flower, jamu, and also peanut brittle.
It doesn't feel like we have entered the last day of the Business Viewing work program 07 February 2023 which is a special day. Because here we make a special sambel made from the village of Tumpakkepuh, which is peng-peng sambel made from seafood, namely peng-peng fish or tuna. The manufacturing process takes quite a long time 2 The goal is so that the chili sauce can last a long time.
Friends are quite enthusiastic in carrying out the Business Viewing work program activities. Because from these visiting activities we also learn, We were also able to see directly the process of running the MSE businesses of the Tumpakkepuh Village community. There we helped MSEs starting from preparing materials, manufacture, until the packaging process.
By carrying out visiting activities and business practices with Tumpakkepuh Village MSEs, It is hoped that students will be able to gain knowledge and experience about the importance of a business/enterprise for their region.
And it is hoped that the community will be able to further develop their business, expand its target market, and able to gain greater profits than before. The role of village MSEs is very important in improving the village economy and achieving the welfare of the community. [Tumpakkepuh KKN 1/SN]
